Terms
These are the terms every Finish Work client signs, in plain words, so you can read them before we ever talk. Your signed service agreement is the one that counts, and it says the same thing with your own figures filled in.
Who you are dealing with
Finish Work is Robert Matthew Andringa (Matt), a sole proprietor in La Verne, California. We design, host and look after one page websites for contractors and small local businesses. Everything is delivered online. Nothing ships.
What it costs
The standard plan is $150 a month with nothing to pay to build it. Some clients choose to pay a one time build fee instead, in two halves, and then a lower monthly. Either way the exact figures are written in your agreement before you sign, and the first monthly charge is the day your site goes live, never before.
What the monthly covers
Hosting, security and backups. Your domain, registered in your name and renewed for you. The quote form, with every request sent to your inbox, checked for spam and logged so none goes missing. Changes by text, like new photos, a new service or different hours, done within two business days. Your Google listing kept matching the site. And a note every month with how many people visited, tapped to call and sent the form. A new page, a redesign or a whole new section is a separate quote, agreed before any work starts.
How you pay
By invoice through Stripe, to a card or bank account you put on file when you sign. Nothing is charged at signing on the standard plan. The monthly charges itself on the same day each month, and you get a receipt every time.
It renews until you cancel
The monthly is charged every month at the price in your agreement until you cancel it. There is no minimum term and no long contract.
Cancelling
Cancel any time with 30 days notice by text or email to (909) 664-4211 or matt@finishwork.build. No cancellation fee and no reason needed.
Refunds
A month already paid stays paid. We do not refund part of a month. If you are paying a build fee and cancel before your site goes live, the half you paid at signing is refunded in full.
What is yours
Your domain, your photos, your words, your reviews and every lead that comes through the form. Ask and we hand any of it back, any time, at no charge. On the standard plan the site itself is licensed to you while the monthly is paid. If it ends, the site comes down 30 days after the last paid month and we point your domain wherever you tell us, or you can buy the site files outright for $1,000. On the build fee plan the site is yours once the build fee is paid in full.
What we do not promise
We do not promise a Google ranking, a number of leads or a number of jobs. Nobody honestly can. What we promise is the work listed above, and a monthly note that shows what actually happened.
If a payment fails
The site stays up for 15 days while we sort it out. After that it pauses until the balance is paid, and comes straight back when it is. Nothing is deleted.
If the price changes
Not in your first twelve months. After that, only with 60 days notice in writing, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
Your side
You confirm that the photos on your site are yours or that you have the right to use them, that your license number and business details are accurate, and that your reviews are real. We can take a site down if it is used for anything illegal or if a contractor's license is suspended or expired.
The rest
California law applies. If we ever disagree, we try small claims court in Los Angeles County before anything else. Our liability is capped at the last three months of fees, and neither side owes the other for lost profits.
